I was born in Greeley, Colorado and am a wife and mother of two children. I joined the West Ridge team in 2002 having graduated from Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs. During my time with the West Ridge team, I have experienced many joys. I am experienced in a variety of areas in the hospital including exam rooms, surgery, dentistry, radiology, massage, leadership and pharmacy. I have liked getting to know our patients and their owners through the years and how their families have grown. I have been by their side through the good and bad. As a manager and a leader, I love training our new team members and getting fresh minds excited about our field of work.
Brittanie is a born and raised Coloradoan, and moved to the Greeley are when she was 12. She always wanted to help animals and came to the West Ridge team in 2008. Brittanie started as a Kennel attendant and has also worked in the Client Care department, finally settling into the veterinary nursing department and achieving the position as the Inpatient Leader, training and supervising other nurses in surgical procedures. Brittanie’s dream was always to help animals, she plans to go to school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.
When not working in surgery, Brittanie enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their two children. They love the mountains, camping, and traveling to visit family. A proponent of the Pit Bull breed, Brittanie and her family have two dogs, Jayden and Angel (both pit bulls) whom they adopted and are as sweet as could be. Recently they added Mia, a spunky Chihuahua who rules the house, to their mix.
Amber started at West Ridge Animal Hospital in 2013, having no previous formal veterinary experience, she trained on the job and dedicated herself to learning everything she could. After only 10 months, Amber proved that she could be a master at her craft and achieved the status of Outpatient Leader, motivating and inspiring our outpatient nursing team. Amber loves educating people about their pets and how to keep them in the best of health. She has a rabbit, Thumper (called Thumpy) adopted from the Weld County Humane Society, who loves to sit up and beg for veggie treats. Thumpy rules the house and the dog, Dudley a border collie/Labrador mix, who was also a rescue. Amber believes that animals are a source of joy and companionship.
When not working at West Ridge, Amber loves to spend time with her high school sweetheart husband of five years, and their new baby boy, as well as their two fur children. Having played volleyball for seven years, Amber and her family do their best to stay active; coaching volleyball teams, being out of doors, volunteering at the Colorado House Rabbit Society, and enjoying time together watching movies or playing at home.
West Ridge Animal Hospital welcomed Amy in 2014. She was born and raised in southern California and moved to Colorado in 2013. Amy’s love and passion for animals began when she was just three years old and her grandparents took her to the Los Angeles zoo. It was there that she fell in love with animals, especially the fierce American Alligators. Since that time, Amy has done various types of volunteer work in animal shelters, animal hospitals, and wildlife sanctuaries. At the sanctuary, Amy got to work with Lions, tigers and other large exotic animals.
Amy recently became a Certified Veterinary Technician through Front Range Community College’s Veterinary Technician program. In her spare time she likes to travel, hike, ride roller coasters, hang out at theme parks, and walk her three dogs: Frank, Yahtzee, and Scrabble.
Erin was born and raised in Durango, Colorado on a small farm where she was constantly rescuing baby bunnies, doctoring chickens, cleaning pet wounds, and pulling out the occasional porcupine quills from dogs’ noses. She moved to Fort Collins in 2008 to attend Colorado State University, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, and minoring in Entomology (she really loves bugs)! Erin joined West Ridge in 2014 and has been an amazing nurse!
Currently, she lives in Milliken with her boyfriend and their three dogs: Porter and Oakley the German Shepherds, and Pearly the Pit-bull/Dachshund mix. Erin has a passion for all animals and really enjoys working with wildlife. She has traveled all around to world to work with endangered animals from leatherback sea turtles in Costa Rica to black rhinos and cheetahs in Southern Africa. She enjoys running, and along with several other team members from West Ridge, has partaken in both individual and team marathons.
