Brittanie is a born and raised Coloradoan, and moved to the Greeley are when she was 12. She always wanted to help animals and came to the West Ridge team in 2008. Brittanie started as a Kennel attendant and has also worked in the Client Care department, finally settling into the veterinary nursing department and achieving the position as the Inpatient Leader, training and supervising other nurses in surgical procedures. Brittanie’s dream was always to help animals, she plans to go to school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.
When not working in surgery, Brittanie enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their two children. They love the mountains, camping, and traveling to visit family. A proponent of the Pit Bull breed, Brittanie and her family have two dogs, Jayden and Angel (both pit bulls) whom they adopted and are as sweet as could be. Recently they added Mia, a spunky Chihuahua who rules the house, to their mix.
Amber started at West Ridge Animal Hospital in 2013, having no previous formal veterinary experience, she trained on the job and dedicated herself to learning everything she could. After only 10 months, Amber proved that she could be a master at her craft and achieved the status of Outpatient Leader, motivating and inspiring our outpatient nursing team. Amber loves educating people about their pets and how to keep them in the best of health. She has a rabbit, Thumper (called Thumpy) adopted from the Weld County Humane Society, who loves to sit up and beg for veggie treats. Thumpy rules the house and the dog, Dudley a border collie/Labrador mix, who was also a rescue. Amber believes that animals are a source of joy and companionship.
When not working at West Ridge, Amber loves to spend time with her high school sweetheart husband of five years, and their new baby boy, as well as their two fur children. Having played volleyball for seven years, Amber and her family do their best to stay active; coaching volleyball teams, being out of doors, volunteering at the Colorado House Rabbit Society, and enjoying time together watching movies or playing at home.
West Ridge Animal Hospital welcomed Amy in 2014. She was born and raised in southern California and moved to Colorado in 2013. Amy’s love and passion for animals began when she was just three years old and her grandparents took her to the Los Angeles zoo. It was there that she fell in love with animals, especially the fierce American Alligators. Since that time, Amy has done various types of volunteer work in animal shelters, animal hospitals, and wildlife sanctuary’s. At the sanctuary Amy got to work with Lions, tigers and other large exotic animals.
Amy recently became a Certified Veterinary Technician through Front Range Community College’s Veterinary Technician program. In her spare time she likes to travel, hike, ride roller coasters, hang out at theme parks, and walk her three dogs: Frank, Yahtzee, and Scrabble.
Erin was born and raised in Durango, Colorado on a small farm where she was constantly rescuing baby bunnies, doctoring chickens, cleaning pet wounds, and pulling out the occasional porcupine quills from dogs’ noses. She moved to Fort Collins in 2008 to attend Colorado State University, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, and minoring in Entomology (she really loves bugs)! Erin joined West Ridge in 2014 and has been an amazing nurse!
Currently she lives in Milliken with her boyfriend and their three dogs: Porter and Oakley the German Shepherds, and Pearly the Pit-bull/Dachshund mix. Erin has a passion for all animals and really enjoys working with wildlife. She has traveled all around to world to work with endangered animals from leatherback sea turtles in Costa Rica to black rhinos and cheetahs in Southern Africa. She enjoys running, and along with several other team member from West Ridge, has partaken in both individual and team marathons.
Cindy started her Veterinary career by being offered a position after coming in as a client. She volunteers as an animal foster parent for the Weld County Humane Society and also for the Colorado Pug Rescue. You can find her toting a pug or two around on most days. In addition to her foster pets she also owns a golden retriever (Pirate), two pugs (Walter P. and Goblin), and her land shark Chihuahua (Lulu). Cindy’s big heart also led her to seven cats whom have a myriad of personalities and traits.
She works in the outpatient area of the hospital, assisting in preventive appointments, educating Clients, and generally helping wherever she can. In her free time she loves going to the Casino, reading, and watching movies to write creative movie reviews.
Certified Veterinary Technician
Grace was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in a mix of city, suburbs and country. Growing up she spent a great deal of time with family pets, as well as riding horses and learning how to work in a stable. She loves animals of all sizes and hopes to adopt some more furry friends soon. Her career as an animal caretaker started nearly 10 years ago pet sitting for a wide range of animals. She is a new Colorado resident and moved out here to explore and enjoy the mountains she fell in love with as a kid when skiing in the Rockies. She started at West Ridge as an animal caretaker and is now moving up to be an outpatient nurse. In her free time she loves hiking, camping, making art or spending time at home with her boyfriend and their pet rats.
April was born and raised in southern Arizona. She grew up showing horses in 4-H and breed shows and knew that she wanted to continue working with animals throughout her adult life. She holds 2 Bachelor’s degrees from Colorado State University in Animal Science and Equine Science and is finishing her Veterinary Technician Certification this year. She hopes to continue her education and become a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Nutrition in the near future. April loves her 3 cats and 2 horses and lives in Northern Colorado with her husband. She enjoys table top gaming with her husband and writing fantasy novels in her spare time.
