The emerging collaboration between the profession of veterinary medicine and physical therapy is an important advancement in the quality of care which can be provided for our canine patients. Following a veterinarian’s referral, our rehabilitation therapist can utilize rehabilitation principles and techniques to improve the function, comfort and quality of life of arthritic, de-conditioned, post-injury, post-operative, or neurologically-affected dogs. These methods may include heat/cold/light modalities, therapeutic exercise, massage, aquatic or underwater treadmill therapy, and owner education for home therapy.
Performance enhancement services are also available for show and working dogs. Please speak with our rehabilitation therapist or any staff member about physical therapy options in your canine pet.
